Surprised as Governor pays May's salary on may day eve

Governor Ben Ayade, the cross River State's governor as at yesterday, 30th April, paid his worker's salary for the month of May.
Governor Ben is known for his welfare policy and solidarity with the workers of his state.
Moreover, it was recorded that, the said governor had paid his workers salaries on the first day of may last year. Faster this year, as he paid it on the eve of this year's may.

Workers had earlier complained of getting paid too early since the governor emerged his position 2015.
But, governor Ben has broken the record by this act of his. May's salary is coming shortly after the payment of April's salary.
Reacting to what the workers said, Governor Ben said jokingly that, when workers are paid earlier, it is a good problem for them.

Tragedy as gunmen shot dead a man

In Kaduna state, some gunmen were suspected to have killed a man named, Christopher Joseph, aged 27 years old. The deceased body was said to have been found in Abuja-Kaduna expressway, having his hands and legs tied down. An interview with the deceased father shows that he spoke with his son last on 25th of March. He added that, they had no quarrel what so ever during their conversation. Former aviation minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has described the minister of transport, Rotimi Amaechi as a serial traitor. Fani-Kayode's comment was contained in a statement by his media aide, Jude Ndukwe.
