In Ikire, a town in Osun State, a pedestrian bridge which is not too good for it inhabitants has been discovered while this so called bridge hangs dangerously with the support of two pillars. The bridge is located at the express road which links Ibadan city with Ikire. Most vehicles going to Ibadan, Lagos, Ife, Osogbo and other places take this path. This is a very busy express way as travelers are often seen in hundreds  occasionally taking this path. On this same express way, right under the pedestrian bridge, traders both young and old are seen in all angles making effort to sell their products to travelers overlooking the dangerous position of the bridge. Taking a vivid look at the bridge in it current position, it needs the attention of the government before it breakdown. Meanwhile, it was formerly reported that, the bridge linking Iwo in Osun State and Oyo in Oyo state collapsed due to the heavy downpour. See photo below.

An undergraduate of the Osun State University, Ikire campus , Ajayi Adetunji Olaoluwa who studies linguistics and communication studies was enable to build a research oriented keyboard which can be used to tone mark the south eastern Yoruba dialects and other languages using the register tone like igbo. The Minister of Information and Culture, for the federal republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, while speaking on Tuesday where he reacted to the outcry of Nigeria artistes denied the rumour that the Federal Government will ban the overseas production of Nigerian movies and music. During an art exhibition in Los Angeles earlier this month, there was a little commotion as some art works were destroyed by a woman while she was trying to take a selfie a bit too close to the fragile row of plinths housing art by Simon Birch. While she bent closer to the last row, to take the picture, the entire row of art toppled estimated as $200,000 damaged leaving three of the sculptures on display at The 14th Factory damaged permanently. Meanwhile, CCTV captured the incident but what happened after worth was not known.

A 33 year-old sales girl, Tine Joy, has been sentenced by a Grade 1 Area Court in Karu, Abuja, to seven months imprisonment on Tuesday for criminal breach of trust and diversion of sales’ proceeds to her  boy friend. According to the Prosecutor, Mr. Ashasim Helen, he made it known to the Court that, the defendant was arraigned for criminal breach of trust, cheating and criminal misappropriation punishable under sections 314, 322 and 309 of the Penal code. The Judge prevailing over the case, Mr. Hassan Ishaq, was reported to have  given Joy an option to pay N18, 000 as fine. As he also ordered her to pay the complainant, N62, 000 as compensation. The prosecutor, Mr. Helen furthered  alleged that the complainant, Godwin Ola, of Army Estate, Kurudu in Abuja, reported the matter at Karu Police Station on July 14.
