A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari for using his government to favour his northern kinsmen. A former national chairman of the People’s Democratic Party has been linked to a building in Ikoyi where the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) made a humongous find of cash in hard currencies amounting to about N18billion. The EFCC had disclosed on Wednesday that it found $43.4m, £27,800 and N23.2m in cash at a residential building on the 7th Floor of a four – bedroom apartment at Osborne Towers located at 16, Osborne road Ikoyi, Lagos. Olafemi alleged that some people have contracted assassins to attack him and put an end to his life and he believed his life is now in grave danger. Former first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has explained why she withdrew $100,000 from her unblocked Skye Bank account recently. According to Daily Trust, Dame Jonathan made the clarification through her solicitor, Barrister Charles Ogboli. In a series of messages on his social media pages on Wednesday, April 12, Olayinka said: two years ago, before APC, JAMB was working, INEC was functioning, you could apply for a new passport and get it that same day.
