In Ikire, a town in Osun State, a pedestrian bridge which is not too good for it inhabitants has been discovered while this so called bridge hangs dangerously with the support of two pillars.
The bridge is located at the express road which links Ibadan city with Ikire. Most vehicles going to Ibadan, Lagos, Ife, Osogbo and other places take this path.

This is a very busy express way as travelers are often seen in hundreds  occasionally taking this path.
On this same express way, right under the pedestrian bridge, traders both young and old are seen in all angles making effort to sell their products to travelers overlooking the dangerous position of the bridge.

Taking a vivid look at the bridge in it current position, it needs the attention of the government before it breakdown. Meanwhile, it was formerly reported that, the bridge linking Iwo in Osun State and Oyo in Oyo state collapsed due to the heavy downpour.

Former aviation minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has described the minister of transport, Rotimi Amaechi as a serial traitor. Fani-Kayode's comment was contained in a statement by his media aide, Jude Ndukwe. Fani-Kayode had alleged in a tweet that the Lagos apartment where the Economic and Financial Crimes Commmission discovered huge cash belongs to Amaechi. Responding to the former minister's allegation, Amaechi's media aide, David Iyofor questioned the mental state of Fani-Kayode. “Someone will just sniff something then comes on Twitter to rant incomprehensible nonsense. Ghanaian military officer mistaken for a thief, while they set him ablaze

Captain Maxwell Mahama, a Ghanaian military officer with the (5BN) at Burma Camp in Accra was on Monday, May 29th, lynched by residents of Denkyira Boaso of the Central region. The said officer was mistaken to be an armed robber by the residents of Denkyira. Reports shows that, the officer was a commander of a military detachment in the area. He was jogging along the Denkyira Boaso-Diaso road, when he asked some women for direction. As he was not in his uniform. The women reportedly called the Assembly man who organized the youths of the town to lynch him. Then  they later burnt his body. Zimbabwe weddings resort to card machines for guests to swipe their gifts due to cash crunch

Wedding planners in Zimbabwe have found a way of circumventing the severe cash crunch the country is currently facing—hiring card machines to allow wedding guests to swipe their gifts. Zimbabwean banks have reportedly been forced to reduce individual daily withdrawal limits to just $30 (N9168) as the country simply does not have enough bank notes available. Recent reports indicate that despite having $6.5 billion (N1.9 trillion) in deposits, Zimbabwe only has around $600 million (N183.3 billion) in cash circulating. A wedding in Zimbabwe Weddings have therefore been among those affected by the cash crunch, as guests often say they do not have bank notes to perform the traditional showering of newly wed couples with money. Although the new card-swipe method robs weddings of some of the fun and appears somewhat unromantic, it seems to serve the same purpose at the end of the day—giving money gifts to the couples.

Ladoja donates money to LAUTECH to resolve crisis.

Rashidi Ladoja, a former Oyo State governor as at yesterday, 21st of June, donated N 5 . 8 m to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso. The former governor made the donation through an initiative by former students of LAUTECH, tagged  "fundLAUTECH". The aim of this initiative is at raising N1 bn to assist the university surmount its financial challenges. The governor received the alumni members in Ibadan while he made an instant donation of N 2 m and promised to also donate six months of his pension to the effort. In sum, Ladoja would be donating a total amount of N5 ,840 ,000. His pension, as stated, is N 644 , 589 .15 per month . Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo. The lecture which held on Wednesday, April 12, came to an abrupt end, following a clash between factional groups of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC). Various Ijaw interest groups and some of Tompolo’s associates had put the lecture together to celebrate the life of the former militant leader who went into hiding since 2015 and invited eminent personalities, including renowned professor of English Literature, Professor Godini Darah, to discuss peace in the Niger Delta. The Nation reports that the atmosphere became charged when two leaders of the two factions of the IYC; the Eric Omare camp and the recently inaugurated Peretubo Oweilami camp met at the event. Prior to the recent protest by the students of Ladoke Akuntola University of Technology(LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, the Osun state governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola made it known on Friday night that, his administration was financially incapacitated to handle the challenges of funding bedevilling the institution. He described baseless and untrue insinuation in some quarters that he was not interested and committed to the survival and effective funding of the university, which is jointly owned by  the Oyo and Osun State.
