Building Self Confidence

We really need confidence to achieve enough in this life. We need that spark to help us keep going, to face anything that comes our way and even over come obstacles.
But, majority tends to misinterpret the word confidence, some sees it as, that thing that gives you the assurance that you will always be accepted and loved in any thing you do or in any thing you offer people. Though it is also part of it. But, this is the question, what if things turns around the other way round? What if you were not accepted? What if what u had to offer looks like trash to people?
We can't avoid these things obviously.
Then this got me to know this, "confidence is not they will like me, it is I will be fine if they don't".
