Doctor charged to court for allegedly raping his patient.

A medical doctor, Philemon Brazil, has been sent back to custody today, 28th of April, at the upper court, Pankshin in Plateau.
The accused was laid with the accusation of raping his patient, whose name is undisclosed, in her house on the 25th of April.
On the other hand, Brazil pleaded not guilty of the allegation.
The judgement passed by Mr Joseph Chollom, ordered him to be returned back to custody, therefore adjourned the case till the 22 of may.

His Prosecutor, Sgt. Singbon Hosea, further inform the
court that,
the rape victim had
history of miscarriages and had been a
patient of the doctor before the incident.
He further explained that, Brazil had committed an offence contrary to and
punishable under Section 283 and 285 of
the Penal Code.’’

Brazil is to remain in the custody, till the 22nd of May
