A South African comedian, Loyiso Gola,
has showed off his 58-year-old mother
who just graduated from the University
of the Western Cape, South Africa.
Gola expressed that his mother who had
always wanted to go to the university,
got the chance 4 years ago after she
retired from work.
It was gathered that the woman who
was an excellent student could not go to
the university because of racial
segregation in South Africa.

The two time Emmy nominated
comedian expressed that he is a little bit
sad because he was not there to
celebrate with his mother, adding that
he is proud of her.
Read his post below:
"So 4 years ago my mom retired after 26
years of working at the bank and went
back to school. She had always wanted
to go to university. She was a straight A
student who was born to an apartheid
system that blocked her progress. She
raised me and my bro @lazgola by
herself."
"TODAY SHE GRADUATES FROM THE
UNIVERSITY OF THE WESTERN CAPE AT
AGE 58. Kinda sad I was not there to
witness this moment. NEVER EVER GIVE
UP ON YOUR DREAMS. So proud of her "
