Kanu was detained too long mainly because he is an igbo man plus his bail condition is unfair- amaechi

Nyako of the Federal High court, Abuja. Chief Nnia Nwodo, the president General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, have therefore react to the bail conditions. He sees it as funny.
In his words, he lament on how you claim to grant someone a bail and say  the person should not be with more than 10 people. And also not being able to address a press conference. He, in his opinion sees freedom of speech and association as a fundamental human right, which every individual is entitled to enjoy.
Does it mean he isn't free to attend occasions and programs in which he gets to meet people. He further added.

He claim that Kanu's fundamental right shouldn't be stepped upon, he should not just engage in anything unlawful. He said this particular condition can't stand the test of any legal institution unless they want to detain him again.

Moreover, some other personnel, Dr. Dozie Ikedife who happens to be the former President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in conjunction with the first republic minister of Aviation, Chief Amaechi, confessed the conditions to be unfair.
IPOB itself, made it known that, the court does not expect KANU to meet up to those conditions. Meanwhile, the group thanked all people who pressurised the government towards kanu's release, since his detention in October 2015. They further added that the conditions given to him were organised by politicians who are so intimidated by their leader's popularity and his doing well

'Am happy they have granted him a bail, that had been my wish all along'  ikedife added.
Ohanaeze chairman expresses his disapproval, as he shows sympathy and imagine how KANU will get the 3 people to stand as sureties for him.

KANU is a prisoner of conscience and they detained him for too long, mainly because he is an igbo man, still adding to the fact that the conditions are not kind. Amaechi said.

To most people, kanu is a good leader who has the interest of his group at heart. He does not deserve such severe punishment
