My husband has turned me into a drum he beats anytime he wants to exercise himself- woman cries out.

It seems like the rate at which domestic violence increases nowadays is getting much.
Of recent, a woman called Funmilayo Oseni, a trader, has called on a customary court in ibadan, oyo state to end their 15 years marriage with the claim that, her husband is always found of beating her every single time they had disagreement, which had turned her into a regular visitor to the clinic.

While the husband on the other hand, disagreed with all the wife said and even refused her plea for a divorce.

Funmilayo further added that,
“My husband has turned me into the drum
he beats anytime he wants to exercise
himself. He has no love for me and I mean
nothing to him. He sees me as part of the
property in the house. He actually places
more value on some of these property than
me. He once beat me and I fainted. Thank God
for neighbours who rushed to the scene and
helped to revive me".
Moreover, she stated that, her husband  has been treating her this way
because their marriage is yet to be blessed
with a child.
She then begged the court to seperate them.

While listening to the husband's side, he stated that, if his wife leaves him he is finished cause she has contributed a lot to his life. He further stated that, every couples fight and resolve.
Speaking on the beating matter, he said he pushed her away as she hit her face on the wall while she was trying to stab him with a knife during a fight.

After listening to both sides, the court
president, Chief Agbaje Olasunkanmi,
adjourned the case till May 23 2017, stating that, each of them should come with their parents.
