No decision yet on who to sign the 2017 budget- Lai Mohammed.

The minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed, made it known that, the Presidency is to take a decision on who
signs the 2017 Appropriation Bill into law
whenever the document is transmitted to it for accent.

In accordance to the letter written by president Muhammadu Buhari to the national assembly on his medical trip, acting President Yemi Osinbajo, was
expected to sign the document.
Contrary to this, while Lai Muhammed was briefing state house correspondents on the outcome of Wednesday's meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), he said:
“When it is transmitted to the Presidency
that decision will be taken.”
Further adding to this, he made it known that an advanced copy of
the passed budget was now in possession of
the Minister of Budget and National
Planning, Udo Udoma, which he said the
executive would now study for any
discrepancies from the original one
transmitted to the National Assembly.

He added that, they, the executives have not received the copy of the passed budget individually, as the budget was passed yesterday's morning.

He assured that, there will be proper check up on what was sent and the passed budget to see is there is any discrepancies and report will be made back to the minister of Budget and National Planning on harmonization.
