EPISODE 5: My Love Is On Fire

Few minutes later she showed up. She explained to me the stress she went through trying to fix her car and how a stranger helped her out. I was grateful she is now fine.

Later in the night, at exactly 8pm, I was expecting Lawrence to call me to tell me how the screening went but he didn't, I tried his number but to no avail. Though I was a bit worried but I tried to assure myself that everything was okay.

Kimmie was sitting in the living room while I went to the room to get my phone. Though I heard someone knocking at the door and also Kimmie's foot steps towards the door, that was the only thing I had last.

I was so diverted from the environment, I think its because Lawrence's lines were not going through.
After much trial to get through to Lawrence, I decided to opt back to the sitting room to meet Kimmie. Just as I was about calling her name, I saw a man holding Kimmie down with a gun in his hand. Fear griped me like never before, I couldn't move. Different thought filled my mind.
What should I do? Should I call the police? What if the deed has been done before their arrival?

Tragedy as gunmen shot dead a man

In Kaduna state, some gunmen were suspected to have killed a man named, Christopher Joseph, aged 27 years old. The deceased body was said to have been found in Abuja-Kaduna expressway, having his hands and legs tied down. An interview with the deceased father shows that he spoke with his son last on 25th of March. He added that, they had no quarrel what so ever during their conversation. He further said, he didn't know that would be the last time he would converse with his son. Late Christopher was said to have been seeking for admission into the Ahmadu Bello Institution. (ABU). Before his death, he was into commercial motorcycle job. When the police station was visited by his family members, they informed them about what happened. POLICE: No plot to kill Wike, he has 221 policemen guarding him

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has denied ever plotting to kill the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike. The denial comes on the heel of reports that the governor had alleged that there were plans to eliminate him based on the orders of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris. Fani-Kayode blasts Buhari for giving three key posts to Hausa- Fulanis in one day

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari for using his government to favour his northern kinsmen. CSO, expels punch reporter from presidency villa

The chief security officer, (CSO), to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abubakar Bashir has expelled the Punch correspondent, Mr. Lekan Adetayo, assigned  to cover the presidential villa, Abuja, as at yesterday. Correspondent lekan was driven out of the villa, due to the fact that, he wrote a story about the health state of president Buhari, which was seen as injurious to the presidency. Doctor charged to court for allegedly raping his patient.

A medical doctor, Philemon Brazil, has been sent back to custody today, 28th of April, at the upper court, Pankshin in Plateau. The accused was laid with the accusation of raping his patient, whose name is undisclosed, in her house on the 25th of April. On the other hand, Brazil pleaded not guilty of the allegation. The judgement passed by Mr Joseph Chollom, ordered him to be returned back to custody, therefore adjourned the case till the 22 of may. His Prosecutor, Sgt. Singbon Hosea, further inform the court that, the rape victim had history of miscarriages and had been a patient of the doctor before the incident.
