INTERVIEW SESSION

REPORTER      : Good Day. Can we meet you?

DOUBLE JOY : My name is Honourable Adejinle Faith Ayodeji, popularly known as Double Joy, a current 200 level student of English and International Studies.

REPORTER  :  Which post are you aspiring for in the upcoming election ?

DOUBLE JOY :  I’m aspiring for the post of the Faculty Vice-President.

REPORTER: What motivated you to aspire for this post ?

DOUBLE JOY :   Actually, with my critical observation on this campus about what I’ve seen, I feel that the major function of the office of the Vice-President has been neglected, which suppose to be the academic welfarism. If I’m eventually elected, I’m going there to restore the major function of the office which is the academic welfarism of the entire students.

REPORTER     : What has been your impact on this Campus, since you gained admission ?

DOUBLE JOY :  I was a one-time Parliamentarian under the current Speaker of the Parliament, Hon. Gbonegun Great before I resigned. I represented the 200 level constituency of NASLES.

REPORTER   :   Why do you think that you deserve to be in this position ?

DOUBLE JOY  :   Well, what motivated me is the reason why I think I deserve to be in this position.

REPORTER : What is your major aim and objective when if you eventually  emerge ?

DOUBLE JOY :   My major ideology is a to make a change in the academic welfarism of the students

REPORTER  : Who can you refer to be your best Vice-President on Campus ?

DOUBLE JOY :  during the administration of Comrade Tobi, I see Comrade Phyasco, the then Vice-President to be a major inspiration for me. Comrade Korede as well, has also done a great work but that could be derogatory also. I cant pick anyone as the best because everyone has done well in their tenure. The fact is that everyone has been the best. I can’t judge.

REPORTER   : What are those things you’re willing to sacrifice if you eventually emerge as the V.P ?

DOUBLE JOY : I’ve sacrificed, I’m still sacrificing and I’m still going to sacrifice. If I eventually win, I’m going to sacrifice my time, my token and even my classes just like when I was a parliamentarian. I’m willing sacrifice more of this to the Faculty.

REPORTER           : What are the major roles of the Vice-President ?

DOUBLE JOY  : Apart from the academic welfarism, another major role of the Vice-President is to support the executives in general, especially the President and, to also support any committee set up by the administration. But the major function of the office remains the academic welfarism.

REPORTER        : What are the major challenges you think you’ll be facing as the Vice-President and how do you plan to overcome them ?

DOUBLE JOY :   Actually, if I emerge as the Vice-President, one major challenge that I might get is if I’m unable to share the same ideology with the President, My boss. If for instance, the President’s ideology is on social welfarism alone, and mine is on Academic welfarism, there will be conflict over the ideology. The only way I think I can overcome is that I’ll work successfully with the President to attain success in his own ideology then, we’ll work together to attain success in my own ideology too. It’s not something that we’ll fight on, instead, we’ll sit down and table the matter on how far it work.

REPORTER : What do you have to tell the students before the election ?

DOUBLE JOY :  What I have to tell the students is that they should decide wisely, vote wisely and vote for a participant and not an occupant. I stand to be corrected, VOTE FOR A PARTICIPANT AND NOT AN OCCUPANT.

REPORTER : Thank you very much.

DOUBLE JOY :You’re welcome
